Wild Bill’s Nostalgia Center in Connecticut is an “awesome place,” a local gem in a wasteland of pharamacy monsters, elite (education) campuses, and grotesque displays of economic disparity. Strange Labor is the/a real and fantastically rendered underbelly of such a landscape. Lines that may distinguish work from leisure and reality from fantasy collapse under a dimmer luminosity – between seduction, ablution, and fright-freight.

Strange Labor at Wild Bill’s represents a culmination of seven years of documentary, analog photography – a micro-thesis at Wesleyan University’s Center for the Arts under the mentorship of professor Sasha Rudensky.
